Art as an escape
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” - Thomas Merton
Art is like a forbidden sword. It is intangible for those who do not believe in living a divergent life, by anyone who doesn’t desire to explore yet thoughts meander them. Numerous obscure warriors turned out to use this sword day-to-day struggling and confronting their flaws and skepticism. This sword of art aided these warriors to overcome dejection and despondency whilst doing something amusing.
We ought to observe art universally. It is vaguely found in the scars of a human body, in every stroke of a painting, pale tweet of a chick, everything we see, everything we touch and experience, it is everywhere that would cease it with acknowledgment. Art thrives on anything and all it needs is endeavor and ambition. It is the spectrum palette of life when assorted one another fabricates a brand-new hue.
“Art and love are the same things: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.” – Chuck Klosterman
The way I and like-minded people perceive art as an escape that emerges to be solace has engaged the idea of being an artist to counter their fears for their salvation. I find the essence of art in a lot of things relishing these things that navigate me through many hindrances of my life efficiently and palpably.
I believe art explores and builds a part of you that never existed. I see myself in art, coming across myself better every day with passion. And honestly, sometimes we need to look at ourselves from a different angle to understand our true nature from the view of art and things we adore. Art is holistic in nature as it enables us to express our line of thinking to create life from something abstract and inert. Fragments of intense sensation and emotion create a masterpiece of art. Artists can be found anywhere in anyone, the individuals battling with life where the art within marks and stain imprints that feeds the flames within.
I regard art for humanity, it is exactly what makes us human. Wild savages are not capable of creating and relishing art. The competency of the human race of having perspective is what makes us more magnanimous.
“The principles of true art is not to portray, but to evoke” - Jerzy Kosinski
